I fried my powercord. Is the replacement a generic part or do I need to purchase a specific replacement?

For your HP Pavilion Laptop PC 15-eg1000, we suggest you please go with 65 W HP Smart AC adapter and 45 W HP Smart AC adapter, which is compatible with your PC.
