I purchased HP Notebook 15-ay041wn a week ago. When it was purchased I specifically told people that the HP Notebook had to be able to use a Windows 7 Pro Operation Software. The store said it would work fine, Microsoft said it would be compatlble and so did a call to HP. After having all the problems, I find out that the DVD works BUT the USB is not compatible with Windows 7. Why the hell didn't people tell me this from the beginning because I have gone through all the hassle and phone call to get Windows 7 Pro to work and also got software from the laboratory company we work with as well and NOW I find out the USB wont work. Because of this the laboratory equipment will not be able to become connected to the laptop. The USB connection must work or I cannot use the $40k lab equipment. My opinion of HP is not too high at the moment.

Your ranting isn't making a whole lot of sense, other then we get the fact that you are PO'd.
Were you able to get W7 to install, or weren't you?
If you got W7 to install on your notebook, then all you need to do is to install the Intel USB3 driver.
Download, unzip and run the setup.exe file from the link below.
If you cannot install W7 from a usb flash drive, then you need to run this tool below on a PC with W8.1 or W10.
There is a readme file on the link with instructions.
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25476/Windows-7-USB-3-0-Creator-Utility
You also need to go into the BIOS, enable legacy mode, which should disable secure boot so that you can install and continue to run W7.
W7 is not compatible with secure boot.
