HP 250 G5 Notebook

The plastic covering the hinges are peeling off and I am out of warranty.  The hinge itself is in good condition and not broken. I am unable to open or close the lid without more of the plastic peeling off and tearing away from the lid.

I use this laptop at home for work but NOT excessively.  Under normal usage the plastic covering the hinges on both sides have started to peel off which makes it harder for the laptop to close properly and now the plastic is tearing off from the frame.

Is there any way to have this repaired before the internal hinges get damaged? I should not have to pay to have this fixed as it is clearly a manufacturing defect and not a physical damage from my side.  This laptop has never been dropped. I would appreciate if it could repaired ASAP as it is affecting my ability to work from home.
