Microsoft Windows 11

Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard for HP Hotkey Support: These downloads keep repeating themselves over and over again and the installations seem to always fail. Hence the endless repeated downloads. What is more painful is that I as a user don't even use this hokey support features whatever they are. Make the downloads optional for those who might need them and leave the rest of us out of this nuisance PLEASE!!!!!!!

This is a peer to peer forum.

We do not work for or represent HP.

If the update is coming via Windows Update, you should be able to prevent the update from downloading and installing by running the Microsoft Hide Windows Update utility that I zipped up and attached below.

Run the file and it will look for updates pending to install.

It should find the Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard for HP Hotkey Support download pending to install.

Check the box to hide the update.

The utility will run again and report the problem is 'Fixed.'

Close out of the utility, restart the PC and hopefully, you will no longer be bothered by that update again unless you re-run the utility and uncheck the box to hide the update.
