Have you seen the skyrocketing prices of memory lately?
There is no budget friendly memory available today and it may be that way for at least a year.
Your notebook supports 2 x 8 GB of memory.
You can buy DDR4-2400 CL17, DDR4-2666 CL19 or DDR4-3200 CL22 memory.
The memory will run at 2133 MHz because that is as fast as your notebook's i5-7200U processor can run the memory at.
Find memory that meets any of those specifications that doesn't cost a fortune, is all I can recommend.
Crucial memory, Timetec memory, Kingston memory...
You have two options to install a SSD:
1. You can replace the 1 TB 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SATA SSD.
2. Your other option would be to install a M.2 2280 SATA SSD.
The M.2 slot does not support NVMe SSDs.
The performance would be the same but you could keep the hard drive for extra storage if that is of interest to you. You would have to remove Windows from the hard drive or the notebook would always want to boot from the 2.5" drive first and not the M.2 SSD.
A suggested 2.5" SSD or M.2 SSD would be a Western Digital Blue SA510 model.
Due to the cost of memory chips, SSDs have also significantly risen in price, since SSDs also use memory chips.

Many thanks Paul! I appreciate your prompt response.
Yes, I have seen the rising prices of memory and also of laptops. That is why I thought of an upgrade instead of a fresh buy.
Thank you for your helping answer to my query!
