So a couple of days ago, my laptop battery kept saying "plugged in, not charging" I was confused at first so I tried to simply take the cord out and blow on the holes of the charging port and input. Then tried using it again still nothing I thought it needed a new charger so I was planning to buy one. But I wanted to be sure that I didn't buy a replacement AC Adapter to my Laptop HP Stream 14 for nothing. I looked up a few similar problems of mine. I did them and well my laptop is charging ratherly fast per every 3-4 minutes and when I unplugged it it goes down from 24% to 21% I was curious why it was doing that thinking it is malfuctioning badly.
So I decided to file a HP Forum to see if any one can be more of a assistant's to my problem I am currently occurring right now I had this laptop ever since 2017 can't remember the day I was given this. So I want some help to this problem. And I seen some helpful ones that say to "removal the battery" but I am afraid I might break or do something to this laptop I don't really want to break this thing and can't afford to buy a new laptop. So is there a solution to my problem? well I am willing to hear some! Please and Thank you!

Hello @DazeYesune,
No worries.
First try testing the hardware in the HP UEFI Diagnostics:
- Repeatedly press Esc upon startup
- Select F2 (System Diagnostics)
- Select the desired language
- Navigate to component tests
- Select Battery and AC adapter
Please also conduct the battery check in HP Support Assistant on your laptop. Once the the test is done, please click Show advanced information and upload a screenshot so we can know the condition of the battery.
Let us know how it goes.
Kind regards,
Eddy
