Since 2 days now, my laptop battery is down to 0%, and I'm only able to use with the adapter connected. Even then, it says 'plugged in, not charging'. The orange charging light glows as soon as I connect the adapter, but changes to white in about 10 seconds.
I've tried everything - removing the battery and adapter and holding the power button down for a minute, updating the BIOS, and nothing has helped. Running the diagnostics tool did not help as the battery test is repeatedly cancelled. Instead I used the support assistant and was told that the battery is functioning normally but is showing reduced performance due to it's age (which is to be expected).
This is getting very difficult to deal with, please help me get my laptop charging again, so it can live untethered!

Since the battery test will not complete, it is apparent the battery has reached the end of its life and needs to be replaced. How old is the laptop and the battery? If over 2 years, it is almost certain a replacement battery will get everything working right again. Let us know if you need help finding and installing the replacement.
