Hi, the usb type c port of my notebook suddenly no longer works, when I connected the usb type c key it is not detected, it seems to give no sign of life, I checked the driver in device manager "NVIDIA USB Type-C Port Policy Controller "and says it works correctly and is up to date.
Until the other day it worked correctly, I tried the dongle on a smartphone and it is detected correctly.
Do you know what may have happened and how can I fix and understand if the usb type c port is not damaged or burned?

@Niko87

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let's update the BIOS - https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00042629

Update the driver: https://downloadmirror.intel.com/28425/a08/Intel-Driver-and-Support-Assistant-Installer.exe

Do a Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Download GEFORCE EXPERIENCE - https://us.download.nvidia.com/GFE/GFEClient/3.21.0.36/GeForce_Experience_v3.21.0.36.exe

Let me know if this helps.
