Hi,

I recently replaced the Battery in my HP Envy 360 15-u050ca.

Once the battery came to a full charge the light beside the Charging port went from solid amber to flashing white.

When the light is flashing white the Laptop no longer charges.

If I hold the power button for 15 seconds to reset the Laptop the Battery will now start charging again but once the battery reaches full charge the power light starts flashing white again.

The work around is to perform a hard re-set whenever the battery needs to be re-charged.

 

I've re-installed the battery drivers and updated to the current bios but the issue still persists.

 

Is there anything else I can do to possibly resolve this issue ?

Please run a Battery Test again to confirm the Hardware Functionality

 

- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. 
- When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- On the main menu, click Component Tests and Power > Battery

Hi,

I tried running the Battery Test as suggested but it won't run.

The test gets stuck on 1% but goes no further.

Any suggestions ?

Since the Battery Test from F2 Diagnostic is not even running, I suggest you contact HP Support in your region for Service Options

 

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/ 
2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device. 
4) Select the country from the drop-down. 
5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences. 
6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.
