Hello everyone,
I'd like to know know if anyone knows what brand of RAM does the HP 255 G6 have?
The PC does not turn on and might be the RAM that a guy might have swapped it before giving it back.
I have no error codes (caps lock blinks) but it doesn't even turn on the display (not even external ones), so it might be replaced with a broken one.
Before buying a new RAM I just wanted to know if it was swapped.
Thank you.

Hi:
Unfortunately, there is no way to provide that information.
HP uses memory from several different manufacturers...Samsung, Micron, Hynix...some 255 G6's can have one brand and some can have a different one.
It all depends on what was being used at the time your PC was assembled.
What I suggest you do is to buy compatible Crucial memory for your notebook which is made by Micron.
Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | hp - compaq | hp business notebooks | HP 255 G6 | Crucial.com
You would be fine with this one...
Crucial 8GB DDR4-2400 SODIMM | CT8G4SFS824A | Crucial.com
Crucial RAM CT8G4SFS824A 8GB DDR4 2400 MHz CL17 Memoria Laptop: Amazon.it: Informatica
Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the memory removal and replacement procedure.
