Need to know location and how-to replacement of a g7 pavilion primary battery. Thanks

Hi,

 

Many people think it is the CMOS (or RTC) battery. But the CMOS battery won't give the error code 601. It is up to you but if you wish to know where the RTC battery is I can show you where

And part number is:   637193-001

 

You can buy from HP Part Store or  http://www.amazon.com/HP-637193-001-Battery-RTC/dp/B008L34MS4

Thanks very much on your promt response. I guess this is not the battery I was expecting as "primary"; most the literature says the one you indicate is the "secondary" one. My g7 pavilion notebook says "Primary Battery 601" failure, so everywhere says primary one is the "Coin-like" internal battery.

Please confirm if the one you indicate is the primary I should replace. Best Regards.
