I have recently got a x symbol on my battery and it used to show replace(42) error in battery diagnostics.

Now i have replaced the battery with a new one. still battery fails with same error and it is not charging above 52%

Failure code is 0GE2XX-8QTAG8-GXGGQK-C09G23

Please let me know what is the issue and how to resolve it.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are getting the battery error even after replacing the battery.

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

What is the product number of your computer?

 

I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

If you continue facing the issue, then reinstalled Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery under device manager.

 

Here is how you do it.

 

Step 1: Click the Windows “Start” button and right-click “Computer.”

Step 2: Click “Manage,” then “Device Manager.”

Step 3: Click the “Batteries” section. A list of devices will appear.

Step 4: Right-click the “Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery” device and click “Uninstall.”

Step 5: Click the “Action” menu item and “Scan for Hardware Changes” to reinstall the driver.

I have tried both methods, but still there is no change. My laptop model is hp pavilion x360 14m ba013dx.

your battery need to be replaced i am too facing this issue. I will go to customer service tomorrow as my model is from out of India but still under warranty.

You can get your replace if it under warranty other wise will have to pay
