How much and at what speed can the most memory is added to this model?

 

Is it mandatory for the m2 SSD to be SATA or is it possible for it to be nvme as well?

Hi:

 

Below is the link to the service manual.

 

HP ProBook 470 G3 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide

 

Chapter 1 has the memory upgrade info and supported drive types.

 

According to the manual, your notebook supports 2 x 8 GB of DDR3L-1600 memory.

 

Your notebook's M.2 slot supports SATA SSD's only, not NVMe.
