I swtiched hard drives on my ay301ns with windows 10 already loaded. It worked fine aprt from bluetooth is not able to be switched on, and wifi does not work. I have tried updating the drivers, but it says they're already up to date.

I cannot find ay301ns anywhere. Something is wrong or my lookup is failing
Please provide the Product ID including the characters after the # symbol.
If you bring up the device manager are there any warning or errors? if so, what is the name of the device?

One of the problems caused by switching hard drives is that Windows makes some assumptions about the devices and does not bother to see if the device changed. When this happens the solution is to use the device manager to remove the device and then reboot.
The spec you listed shows an i5-6200u. Bring up the device manager and verify you have that CPU. if it is not the correct CPU then uninstall all cores of it and reboot.
Download and install the chipset drivers
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp84001-84500/sp84004.exe
According to the service manual you have the possibility of the following WiFi cards.
Realtek RTL8188EE-VJ 802.11b/g/n 1x1 Wi-Fi Adapter
Realtek RTL8723BE-VB 802.11b/g/n 1x1 Wi-Fi + BT4.0 Combo Adapter
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + BT 4.2 Combo
If the device manager shows intel then download and run the intel assistant
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/intel-driver-support-assistant.html
That 8188EE does not support bluetooth and is really old. You should replace it. The only drivers seem to be windows 7 as listed by @Paul_Tikkanen here
The 8723BE is also pretty bad as indicated here and Paul suggested a replacement.
Please post the WiFi card that your device manager showsl.

Hi, @ScorpionB
You can replace/upgrade the single band Wi-Fi adapter your notebook has with this one:
Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.
The card has a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS on the 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi band with an AC router and an excellent signal.
You can find this model on eBay, or Ali Express.
I see some Intel 3165 cards listed on the eBay listings, so don't buy those.
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=L17365-005&_sacat=0&_sop=15
RTL8821CE - Buy RTL8821CE with free shipping on AliExpress
On the Ali Express listings, make sure the card has the HP Part # of 915620-001.
Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the Wi-Fi card removal and replacement procedure:
If you want Bluetooth, the Intel 3168 wifi adapter's Bluetooth won't work because that card needs two antenna wires for the Bluetooth to work and your notebook only has one antenna wire.
