HP ZBook Power G8 313S1EA + HP Universal Dock G2 USB-C
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi HP-Community,

i've got a problem with a new HP ZBook Power G8 313S1EA and a HP Universal Dock G2 USB-C Docking Station. I've connected an external Monitor on the Docking Station - on the Notebook we're using a CAD Software with 3D Modelling. When i am starting the Software - the following error message occured "Hardware acceleration will be disabled". Under DXDIAG the Nvidia Graphics card isn't shown - only the Intel UHD and the Driver from the dock. When i am using an HDMI cable and connect it directly with the external Monitor it will work. So the Problem is the docking Station. MY Question is:

Which HP Docking Station is the right one that i can use the nvidia graphic card on the external monitor with a Docking station. Hope you understand what i mean 😉

THX

Hello

you should bye a Thuberbold Dock G2 230Watts with combo cable 3TR87AA.

The USB-C Universal Dock G2 has integrated a DisplayLink chip. so when you attach monitors to Universal Dock, the integrated NVidia is not used !!

Bye
