Problem with Video Driver

hp pavilion g4-1085la notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello community, is my first time around here ... my question is: What could be the reason why my laptop only works with the driver: "microsoft basic screen adapter"?
If I update the adapter for the compatible: "Intel HD Graphics 3000" at the end of the installation and the screen does a "blink" my laptop shuts down immediately, then I must enter safe mode and downgrade to the basic adapter.  My laptop does'nt have a dedicated video card, only the integrated (processor). Thank you.

Where are you getting the driver you are using? There is not an official Windows 10 driver issued for it but the Windows 7/8 driver will work if you force install it:

Problem with Video Driver

So, i install all the versions of the possible drivers and all fail, except with one, which was a success, but when I rebooted my laptop I got this on the screen.Prueba[1].jpg

then I had to proceed to downgrade to the basic driver by starting my laptop in safe mode

How are you installing the drivers? Do you know what I mean by a force (manual) installation?

This is not the way to do it. You need to point the installer to a specific folder on the hard drive. All you are doing is installing driver files that are already stored in the Windows 10 driver cache.

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005629/graphics-drivers.html

You need to extract the drivers to a specific place on the hard drive and use the "have disk" (usar disco) method to point the installer to the folder where the .inf file is located.

Problem with Video Driver

There have been quite a few reports of problems with the HD3000 video after some of the recent Windows 10 updates. I do not have a 2d gen machine to test with this. I have seen @Paul_Tikkanen  respond in some cases on these problems.

Unfortunately, I would't be able to help you out with that.

It appears you have done the manual install correctly.

You used the zip file verson of this driver, correct?

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24971/Intel-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-64-bit?prod...

And you tried to manually install the Intel graphics driver from your notebook's support page as well, correct?

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp61001-61500/sp61152.exe

If none of those steps worked, then I suggest you revert to W7.

You can also try installing an older build of W10.

You can get every build from this site.   Use the Windows ISO downloader utility.
