HP Battery Check gave Red Battery Icon which is Replace 47 error code.
I ended trying to discharge until it gets off. I charged it in off state for about 2 hours and 10 minutes until it gets fully charged.
After that, I turned the laptop on while charger still connected.
I noticed that the battery icon in the taskbar is showing "0% remaining" then I tried to test it again using HP support Assistant Battery test feature and it gave the green battery icon with 100% percentage.
I unplugged the charger and ran battery check and it was back again in Red Battery Icon with Replace 47 error code. But the battery percentage below the notification bar is at 100%.
I want to calibrate the battery using extensive memory test looping but I am shocked that I'm having a HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI with only Version 1.11.0.0.
Anyone that has a fix for this? Please tell me. Thank you!
Never gonna try:
• Updating Intel MEI driver update.
• Download UEFI Diagnostic Tool update.

I solved my laptop battery problem using the battery calibration procedure of HP.
HP UEFI Diagnostics Tool via USB.
Component Test-> Memory Test-> Extensive Test -> Loop until error.
Extensive Test took approximately 1 hour and 55 minutes until the laptop automatically turned off. I charged it in power off state and it took 2 hours and 10 minutes to turned led light from red to white.
Then I power the laptop on while charger still connected.
It goes back to normal with green battery icon with 100% percentage after testing using HP Support Assistant Battery Test feature. (Tested with charger connected and another with unplugged).
Full charge capacity is now 95% with 2490mah. Before is 3450mah, my battery is only 2800mah. So now it's acurate.
What I did was try another charger which is 90w (old charger is 65w).
I will update this thread once the problem gets back.
I am so happy now 🙂

I already did that but still the same.
I noticed that the Design Capacity is 2800mah and Full Charge Capacity is now 3429mah (100%) that HP Battery Check gave. Also the battery age is now at 615 days.
Was this an old battery which I know that is was brand new at the first place?
Is there any way to reset the BMS of the battery?

(1) The battery does not appear to have been "new" because the battery management system remembers the usage.
(2) No, not possible. Only the manufacturer can do this.
Either the battery BMS (battery management system) has malfunctioned or there is a technical problem with the motherboard. I can't say exactly from a distance. The statements of the HP diagnostic software are confusing in comparison to Windows.
Kind regards

Is it okay to continue to use the battery? I have no problems like my laptop automatically shutting down nor restarting.
It is still normally charging to 100%. It just the percentage of the battery keeps jumping, like 87% and later it will be on 100% again.
