Hi.The my daughter's laptop pavillon not recognize correctly the external storage.(hd,ssd,pendrive).The laptop as born with win 10 on board. e all worked right...but my daughter some month ago has upgrade it to win 11.Anyway from when she said me about the issue the laptop not see correctly the external storage.The disk were seen as 'unknow device' in system manager.The system needed 2 upgrade. KB5016629 and KB5016691.After installed them the pc see the disks but....without drive letter .Need to say that mouse usb works.I'm don't understand if is an hardware or software issue.I see the laptop actually not support win 11.....Thanks in advance and sorry for my maccaroni English....

I tried to create a pen drive with the win 10 installation program and started from it.It work so i'm sure that is not an hw problem.I have not installed win 10 again because i eas not sure if the new installation erased all the file on hd,and i want not.

(1) Download and install BIOS Update

Lol ...Some days ago i installed the new bios ...at aleast I beleaved...so was not.Anyway now the installed version of bios is BIOS AMI F.48, 08/04/2022 and nothing is changed.But the version 1.8.1 of pc hardware diagnostic give me some issues ....I have installed it ..but it not appear in the menu.So I don't know if it is installed or not and cannot launch it.It seems a tale...
