HP Spectre Convertible 15 - 2FW62AV
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Ever since I purchased my HP Spectre However, the 2 type-c usb ports on the right side of the laptop are having some connecting problems.  I have a Totu USB Type-C Hub that I am using to connect two external hard drives.  Connecting via USB 2.0 yields 0 Problems.  I know for a fact that it is not the Totu device.  I can connect it to a different PC via the USB C and have no issues with the device.  It appears to be related to the Spectre specifically.  I have completed these steps already:

1. Open Device Manager.
2. Expand category “Universal Serial Bus controllers”.
3. Double-click the “USB Root Hub” device, and click the Power Management tab. (if there’s more than one USB Root Hub device, repeat these steps for each one.)
4. Turn off the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power option, and click  OK button.

and

Disconnect all USB devices connected to the computer except a USB mouse and keyboard (if in use). This includes hubs, thumb drives, printers, and cameras.
In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.
The Device Manager window opens.
Double-click Universal Serial Bus Controllers to expand the list.
Right-click the first USB Root Hub in the list, then select Uninstall.
Click OK to confirm.
Continue uninstalling all USB Root Hubs listed.
Close Device Manager and restart the computer.
If the USB device that is having problems came with software and it was not previously installed, install the software now, following the manufacturer instructions.
Reconnect the USB device that was having problems and test it to see if it works

None of these solutions have worked.  Do I have a hardware issues?

P.s.  In the event that HP is monitoring this, It is inexcusable to wait on hold for 25 minutes when I paid a premium for 3 year extended warranty.  Extremely poor customer service in my opinion.

@DANNYDPGH Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that the HP Spectre x360 laptop USB Ctype port is not working.

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

Please let me know if it is working before.

Have you made any changes to the computer?

Please perform the USB port test and check.

1) Shutdown the computer.

2) Turn the computer back on again and repeatedly tap on the ESC until a Startup menu appears.

3) Press F2 once.

4) Go to the Component test.

5) From the list, run the USB test.
