I have the HP notebook 15-ay089tu and it's come with a Pentium N3710 from 2016. Being a CS student, it is not possible to run my stuff with this processor. Is there any possible way to upgrade my processor to i5 8th or 9th generation.

Hi:

Unfortunately, that would not be possible.

The processor is an integral part of the motherboard and is not removable.

The only way to upgrade the processor in you notebook would be to replace the motherboard with one listed in the service manual that may come with a better processor.

None of the motherboards in your notebook's model series support 8th or 9th generation core processors.

Thanks for the valuable response. Can you tell me which motherboard is suitable for my pc & how much can I upgrade my processor with that?
