Hi,
The best idea would be to replace the actual notebook as the cost of replacing the motherboard probably will cost more than an actual new notebook.
The actual upgrade of the motherboard would also not add too much power to the machine as in your series the highest power motherboard has an i3
anyway,
On page 52 of service manual you can see the compatible motherboards
https://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04763947.pdf
You will also need to replace the heatsink and maybe add the fan.
So best idea even a used notebook. It's a much better choice.
Hope it helps,
David

None of the supported motherboards listed in the service manual meet Microsoft's minimum W11 processor requirements and none of them have TPM 2.0 security devices which is another minimum W11 hardware requirement.

If you are interested in installing W11 on your PC as is, you can read this discussion for how I upgraded several HP and Dell notebook and desktop PC's that did not meet the W11 hardware requirements to W11 22H2/22H3
You have to use the version of the Rufus utility that I zipped up and attached in the discussion (v3.18).

If the in-place upgrade fails, you should be able to clean install W11 using the bootable W11 installation flash drive you made with Rufus.
