Hello,
I did a small research on upgrading my Laptop's storage and found that my laptop supports the below combo:
256 GB Value SSD + 1 TB HDD
128 GB Value SSD + 1 TB HDD
I am planning to add an 128 GB M2 Sata SSD on to my M2 port.
1. Can you help to understand whether this will cause my other SATA ports to be disabled?
( I read that in some MBs the sata ports will be disabled but no such information is given in the manual)
2. Will it cause any issues since i have a 2 TB HDD as supposed to 1 TB HDD given in the manual?

Your machine is an HP Notebook - 15-bs087cl, its specs
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05791279
It does not have M.2 slot for storage. You can replace its existing 2TB 5400 rpm SATA with 2.5" 2TB SATA SSD using

or

Thank you Sir for the quick response.
For a long time I thought my laptop did not have that slot till i saw my user manual, it showed a M2 slot and availability for SSD+HDD.
I checked online for my mother board details - HP 832A model and it showed that there is a M2 slot so i opened by my laptop and I observed that there is indeed a M2 slot available insideLaptop manual
m2 slot inside mb (image attached).
Can you please check or are you implying that the m2 slot in side my laptop is just a dummy?
