I have two red cables running down from my hp elitebook 640 g9 on the right side of the laptop past the rfc battery that are connected to nothing.  Wondering what these are for?  I also see one cable has a rubber cover on the end but the other does not.  From doing research i think this might be for if I had a WWAN card.  Do I need a rubber cover for the other one that is not covered.  Where do i get thesePXL_20260514_233215014.jpgPXL_20260515_224244246.jpgPXL_20260515_224247597.jpgPXL_20260515_224254353.jpg?

Yes, those are antenna wires for the optional WWAN adapter.

The one is without the insulator is going right over the M.2 slot the WWAN card plugs into.

You won't be able to purchase the plastic cover for the exposed antenna connector.

They are not orderable as spare parts.

As long as the antenna wire connector doesn't touch anything metal, you should be fine.

I would visit a local PC repair shop or hardware store to see if they might have something that may work.

You can always use a small piece of electrical tape, but if you ever want to install a WWAN card it may be difficult to remove.

Thanks for your quick response.  I will see if there is something I can cover that cable with.
