Anybody know why my 2133mhz RAM is only read as 933mhz on my laptop? I've tried another RAM card but the speed was same.

In that link it says that you have 2133MHz RAM installed in the PC. So the RAM in the PC is 2133MHz.

However, the RAM runs max at 1866MHz. It is what the CPU (A10-9600P) is able to use.

Hope it helps,

David

Hi,

The RAM in your notebook runs at 1866MHz (even if you install faster RAM such as 2133MHz or 2400MHz)

page 2 of service manual

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05227786

Now certain applications will give the actual speed of the RAM which is 933MHz.

However, since it is DDR (double data rate) you need to multiply this figure by 2 which gives 1866MHz

If you go into Task Manager you should see written speed 1866MHz.

Hope it helps,

David

In that link say that it must be 2133mhz.
