Hi:

 

Chapter 1, page 2 of the service manual indicates that your notebook has two memory slots and can support 2 x 8 GB of memory.

 

HP 15 Laptop PC (Intel)HP 15g Laptop PCHP 15q Laptop PC Maintenance and Service Guide

 

Since your notebook already has 1 x 8 GB of memory, all you need to do is to add a second 8 GB memory chip in the empty slot.

 

This should be a compatible 8 GB memory chip for your notebook:
