What is the maximum memory size and speed that my laptop can support 12gb and 8gb ??

Hi,

 

If we look on 2 of service manual for your PC we can see that it supports officially 8GB of DDR3L-1600Mhz.

However, many users and sites such as Crucial (which guarantees its RAM upgrades) states that thje max RAM is 16GB of DDR3L-1600Mhz (2x8GB). So, yes it will work with 12GB of RAM or even 16GB. You need DDR3L-1600Mhz Sodimm.

 

On page 46 of service manual you can see the steps to upgrade RAM.

 

You can also take a look at these HP videos which can help with upgrade (click on memory in list on left)
