Hi all!
I have an HP Pavilion 15-bc350na, and am finding the 8GB memory supplied somewhat restrictive.
Having opened it previously to install an SSD I can definitely confirm that there is an empty RAM socket, and CPU-Z confirms that, showing that my current 8GB of DDR4 is installed in slot 2 but that slot 1 is left empty.
The service manual lists Dual Channel support, which is great - I've presumed for the moment that given there are only two slots each slot will be a separate channel.
However, the service manual also states that the laptop supports a maximum of 8GB system memory.
Could I confirm whether this is per slot or for the whole system?
If it's for the whole system - why? What's the limiting factor there?
Hope this finds everyone well!

Hi:
Below is the link to the crucial memory report for your model.
https://uk.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/pavilion-15-bc350na
It supports 2 x 8 GB of memory.
The service manual must be in error because if your notebook has two memory slots, the 7th gen core processor your notebook has definitely supports 16 GB of memory.
