HP Pavilion 15-n209tx
I want to upgrade my HP Pavillion 15-n209tx (4gb RAM) to 8gb. Can I use Corsair 4GB DDR3L low voltage 1.35V 1600 MHz laptop memory SODIMM sold on Amazon?

If you are OK with it not working and  perhaps having to go through with a return procedure if it doesn't work, do it your way.

The smart way to upgrade memory is always to choose the modules that are guaranteed compatible over an unknown.

Matching specs as you are doing is always gamble.

Did you read what I wrote about mixing memory mnodules?

I am not kidding and I am speaking from experience.  I am only trying to save you frustration and time.

Adding a stick of memory that is not identical to the already installed stick frequently leads to unexpected results, like Bluescreens or no-boot situations.

Unfortunately there is no guarantee that it will work. Corsair does not make any memory for your notebook that they guatrantee is compatible.

Take a look at the Crucial memory offerings instead. See the following web page for guaranteed compatible memory for your notebook by Crucial.

But considering the specs, shouldn't it work? Everything in the corsair RAM matches with the RAM you have reffered to

You are a hard sell and that is certainly not a bad thing. 🙂

Just one more thing. Will upgrading RAM reduce the boot time? I'm mainly upgrading it for gaming. Does it really helps?
