Hello all,

 

I would like to upgrade the RAM of my computer from 4GB to 8GB, but I do not know the exact kind of RAM I will need for that. Here are my specs:

 

Processor: Intel Celeron CPU N3050 @ 1.60GHz 1.60 GHz

 

Installed Memory (RAM): 4.00 GB (3.86 GB usable)

 

System Type: 64-bit Operating System, *64-based processor

@RandomGuy_12, welcome to the forum.

 

Here is the Maintenance and Service Guide for the laptop.  In Chapter 5, Page 30, is a section titled "Memory module".  It lists the compatible memory modules and the sizes that can be used.  If you only have one socket you will have to remove the 4 GB stick and install an 8 GB stick.  There is a guide to help you remove and replace the modules.
