Hi
I am looking to boost the RAM on my HP Pavilion - 15-cw1017na
As far I am aware I currently have x2 4gb sticks. Would it be possible to insert x2 8gb sticks?

Hi:
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook's model series.
The memory upgrade info can be found in chapter 1.

The way I read it, you can install 2 x 8 GB of DDR4-2400 memory on models with the Ryzen processors.

Hi:
The Two SODIMM memory module slots, 'non-customer-accessible/non-upgradable,' means that HP doesn't want the customers to upgrade the memory themselves.
Read chapter 5 of the above service manual for the memory removal and replacement procedure, and if you feel you can do the job yourself without breaking anything in the process, feel free to do so.
I recommend buying a $10 set of notebook pry tools to facilitate opening the case without marring or scratching the plastic.
