I would like to upgrade my RAMs. I have 16 GB RAM in my computer. I have space to add another RAM. How many GB of RAM can I install in my computer and what information do I need to know? What do I need to consider when buying RAM?
Thank you,
Best Regards,
Sinan

You're very welcome.
You have a HP EliteBook 830 G7 Notebook PC.
Below is the link to the service manual:
Chapter 1, page 2 has the memory upgrade information.
Your notebook has two memory slots and can support up to 2 x 32 GB of DDR4-2666 CL19 memory, or you can install DDR4-3200 CL22 memory which will automatically bridge to 2666 MHz.
So, if your notebook has a single 16 GB memory chip, you can install a 16 GB memory DDR4-2666 CL19, or DDR4-3200 CL22 chip in the empty slot.
Chapter 5 has the memory removal and replacement procedure.

Hi Paul,
I have one and last question.
My computer currently has a single 16 GB memory chip. After removing this chip, will I have any problems if I use 2 X 32 GB DDR4-2666 CL19 or DDR4-3200 CL22 ?
Do you have any other suggestions after this change?
Thank you for your interest and support,

Hi Paul,
Today I added 16 GB of DDR4-3200 CL22 to my computer into the empty slot.
When my computer first booted up, ERROR SIZE appeared on the screen. After that the computer had been restarted and the error did not appear again. And in the task manager I saw that the memory has increased to 32 GB. I hope nothing different will happen again.
I was having trouble with an application and I wanted to speed up my computer. I guess the computer didn't speed up much. I guess I have to find another way. RAM upgrade didn't change the speed much.
I have been using my computer for 3 years. Only 85 GB of the 475 GB HDD is free. I guess this could also be effective? I can ask this in a different post if you want.
Thank you for your support,
BR,
