I just stumbled across this while looking in the settings.

Product ID: 00325-95800-00000-AAOEM

By the way, I ordered a 2 TB SSD.Do you have a link to clear and detailed instructions for how to install it. Also, If i acquire an M.2 SATA drive that is 2 TB will my system recognize it? I heard some people say that it will need to be reconfigured. I, of course, do not know.

That is not the ProdID. The ProdID is on the bottom of the notebook.

It would be wise to check and make certain there is an M.2 slot and screw present before pulling the trigger on an expensive M.2 SSD.

As long as you purchase storage products that are compatible with the notebook's system board and BIOS, there shouldn't be any "reconfiguration" required. I described how to cofigure an SSD in a sticky that may help you.

32 GB is a viable upgrade option.

See the link in the line below this one for compatible memory modules for your notebook.

Thank you very much for your response.

Do you think Samsung RAM is superior in quality to Crucial RAM? Also I want to upgrade the 1 TB Harddrive to a 2 TB SSD. Is this possible? I plan on using a Samsung SSD.

Crucial memory is well thought of in the enthusiast community. Crucial and Samsung memory will both accomplish the same task.

Currently you have only provided the notebook model series information by identifying it as an Envy 17-ae1xx. That is not specific enough to determine the hardware configuration.

In order to provide you with accurate advice on an SSD upgrade, I will need to know the product number. Look at the bottom of the notebook amongst the tiny letters to find the ProdID. The ProdID is the first part of the product number and is specific identification. Kindly put it in your next reply in your thread.

Samsung makes great SSD products. They have been producing some of the fastest SSD products available in the market, especially the PCIe NVMe  types.

Your notebook is compatible with notebook 2.5" SATA TLC  SSD to replace the legacy hard disk. It is also compatible with  PCIe NVMe TLC and PCIe NVMe value M.2 SSD  products.

Examples of compatible Samsung 2.5" SSD disks are at the link in the line below.

Thank you for your reply. I saw this on the bottom of the laptop.

Product: 1WC56AV

I also saw this;

IC:6317A-RTL8822BE

Which one of these is the product number?

Also, where can i acquire a copy of the manual for this specific laptop? I have been unsuccessful so far.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
