Hello,
I have a 4GB RAM in my laptop model HP 15q-ds0015tu which runs at 2133MHz. The motherboard has a separate slot for RAM upgradation and I wish to upgrade it to 12 GB (8*1 + 4*1) config. There are RAMs available in the market running at 2400Mhz or higher sometimes and I cannot find one specific to the clock speed which comes with the stock RAM. In that case will my motherboard automatically underclock the new RAM (8GB) and match with the existing 4GB RAM. Could I upgrade it without any issues?
Thanks a lot!

Hi:
Yes, 2133 MHz memory is hard to find nowadays, so you may have to resort to buying DDR4-2400 or DDR4-2666 MHz memory.
Yes, the memory will automatically bridge to 2133 MHz, and you should have no problems.
