Hello, tell me, do I have two RAM modules, one for 2 GB, the second for 8 GB, of course, they have one manufacturer and the characteristics seem to be the same, only I was interested in the question of what is the difference between 1Rx16 and 1Rx8:
I used to have up to 6 GB and two modules indicated 1Rx16, then 8 GB and 1Rx16. And now I decided to increase the volume to 16 GB, but did not notice this moment “1Rx16”. Tell me, maybe I made a mistake when buying, it does not work on this laptop!? Thanks!

Hi:
The difference is the memory density.
1Rx16 is lower density memory than 1Rx8.
1Rx16 memory is very hard to find, and since the 8 GB chip is 1Rx8 and you want to add another one, that is what you should look for.
Here is the crucial memory report which has compatible memory for your notebook. You can get this memory in Russia.

If you look at the full specs of one of the 8 GB memory chips they have listed for your model you will see that the spec is Single Ranked • x8
