HP OMEN — 15-ce018ur
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello world! Question is: which specs are correct

i`m going to upgrade my HP OMEN — 15-ce018ur RAM up to 32 Gb (today i have got 16 Gb=8 GB*2  onboard).

1. In HP Maintenance and Service Guidenance and Service Guide (http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06002077) on page 1 we see: "Support for 16384 MB of DDR4 2666 MHz system memory".

2. But in AIDA64 there is an alternative opinion: "Maximum supported memory capacity is 64 GB. Supported types: DDR4-1333, DDR4-1600, DDR4-1866, DDR4-2133, DDR4-2400 SDRAM". Inside notebook we have QuadCore Intel Core i5-7300HQ, 3300 MHz (33 x 100).

3. On Intel site (https://ark.intel.com/content/www/ru/ru/ark/products/97456/intel-core-i5-7300hq-processor-6m-cache-u...) the same: max. memory campability - 64 Gb.

4. In HP 838Fmotherboard specs (https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05991291😞  "Supports up to 32 GB (with two 16 GB modules) and 16 GB (with two 8 GB modules) on 64-bit computers".

Thanks a lot!

Hi:

32 GB is the max (2 x 16 GB).

Support for 64 GB would require 4 memory slots, which your PC does not have.
