Hello!

I plan to upgrade ram on my laptop. Now it has 1 module 4gb ddr4 2133 MHz and I want to add another 8 gb. Is there any list in which I can find compatible modules from different manufacturers?
Or it would be better to remove existing memory and insert two identical  modules (i.e. 2x8gb)?

I have a Zbook 15 G3 Mobile Workstation HP is loaning me. I added 8 gigs to the factory setup. It also uses DDR4-2133. I bought the memory at Frys. It is not the same brand as original but is the same size so is running in dual channel. The point is you could add another 4 gig module to have 8 gigs total, and as long as you get DDR4-2133 you should be OK but I would not mix module sizes...either get another 4 gig or get a matched pair of 8 gig modules.

This is what I have in my laptop and it works fine:

I did not put that emoji in there...not sure where they come from.

Thanks for your answer!

I decided to buy this 2 modules, because 8gb is not enough for me.
