Product: HP 15-AY503tx
Operating System: Linux

I wanted to upgrade RAM of my laptop which currently has 8 gb ram.

My OS supports upto 32 GB RAM.

I got my motherboard product as 81EC and version 61.52 through 'lshw' command in linux.

I don't understand the motherboard details.

Can i know how much RAM can be supported by my motherboard?

Hi,

Max RAM for your notebook is 16GB of DDR4 2400MHz RAM (2x8GB)

There are two slots and at the moment you have one 8GB module. So, you can add another 8GB module in the empty slot.

The RAM will run at 2133MHz.

On page 56 of service manual you can see the steps to install the RAM:

You should also consider replacing the 2.5" HDD with a 2.5" SATA3 SSD for a great boost in performance.

It supports 26GB of RAM max. You can use the following RAM
