HI,
I would like to upgrade my 4GB DDR4 to 8GB or 14 GB. My question would be:
- does it cause quarantee loss?
- Only HP store can make the upgrade if personally not allowed? Where Can I find the store list?
- Whre can I find how many memory slot is avaialbale inside the Notebook ( 6BP17EA)
Thanks for your hints in advance

How much and what kind of memory can be installed depends on your processor type. Seems you likely have an i5 8th gen. That means there are two (2) memory slots and it uses DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM. Max memory would be 2 x 16 = 32 gigs and memory comes in 4, 8 or 16 gig modules so 14 is not going to work out. If you have a lower end Celeron or Pentium there is one slot and it takes DDR3L-1600 and max memory is 8 gigs.
Start on p. 32 to remove the back cover and inside you see this:
Memory slots next to red circle
You are permitted to open it to add memory but if you damage anything warranty will be void. Also HP will not warrant your memory. This may be something you want to hire a technician to do.
