Hello.
How much ram can i install on my laptop Pavilion 17-e063sr it have 2 slots i am using 8Gb (4x2) can i use 16 GB (8+8)?

Yes "officially" the max is 12gb (4 + 😎 but it has been universally reported that 16 gb (8 +8) works fine. Be sure to get DDR3L-1600 SO-DIMM and I would get regular OEM stuff and low density aka dual rank to be sure of compatibility. Crucial, Hynix, Samsung

You do not have to but dual rank low density modules seem to be more universally compatible with HP laptops. Particularly as you get to larger capacity chips. If you have to replace 2 modules and you have a choice, get dual rank. Single rank will likely work, however.
