looking to upgrade RAM 

 

ive been told by AI that i can purchase 16GB DDR4 SODIMM 3200mhz

 

is this correct

The service manual for 14-cf1xxx series that comes with Intel Core 8th gen processors indicates that 16 GB (2x8 GB) memory is supported.

HP 14 Laptop PC Maintenance and Service GuideIMPORTANT! This document is intended for HP authorized ...

 

If your model has an Intel Core 10th gen processor, it should support 2x8 GB.

 

You can install 2x8 GB DDR4-3200 modules, but they will run at 2666 as that's the max memory speed your processor handles.
