Colleagues,
I see conflicting data on the RAM capacity of my 8570p EliteBook. Microsoft says up to 128 MB for Windows 7 Pro, HP say 16 MB for 8570p in its service manual. The service manual is five or six years old. Th MS data is now. Does any one know the REAL answer??

Crucial memory states that it is 16GB. They guarantee that their compatible memory will work in the notebook.http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP---Compaq/elitebook-8570p
Apparently, they have tested the notebooks with their memory since their reputation is always at stake when they make such claims, so I would tend to believe it.

Hi:
The real answer is 2 x 8 GB for 16 GB total.
That is the hardware limitation.
128 GB is the maximum limit for W7 Pro.
I suppose there are some high end workstation PC's or servers that have a ton of memory slots that can take a max of 128 GB, but your notebook sure can't.
