Hi I am new to the forum and have a question about memory upgrade. I have a ProBook 455 G4 that I am trying to upgrade from 4gb to 8 gb of ram. I bought a Corsair Memory DDR4-2400 and the laptop does not even boot to the bios. This was the recommended ram upgrade according to crucial and corsair. Please advise

The manual says

 

Supports dual-channel memory
PC4-17000, 2133-MHz, DDR4 SODIMMs

NOTE:450 models run at 2133 MHz; 455 models run at 1866 MHz


Supports the following configurations:

● 16384 MB (8192 × 2; dual channel)

● 12288 MB (8192 + 4096; dual channel)

● 8192 MB (8192 × 1)

● 8192 MB (4096 × 2; dual channel)

● 4096 MB (4096 × 1)

 

Please check your existing RAM and ONLY use same specs
