hi
i try with only samsung 32gb 5600 mhz this ram came from hp, i saw speed 4800 mhz still not 5600 mhz. what is the problem here. i test it many combination but i can not reach 5600 mhz. ı bought this computer because of like this high speed ram, cpu...
if i can not reach i think this is HP computer problem because i never saw 5600 mhz.
also why i can not change XMP setting like this high speed and expensive computer. why hp docuemnt showing can use 5600 mhz.
this is not good for hp brand.

The Samsung memory is probably not 100% compatible if it is XMP memory. This is the cause. This laptop does not have BIOS compatible with XMP memory. In fact, no HP laptop can use this type of memory, only desktops and some models.

You bought a DDR5 workstation (Desktop replacement) with 4 RAM slots. This is the problem. 4 DDR5 modules is not a good thing.
This has been explained many times.XMP is irrelevant. Rank is important, but installing many (more than 2 modules) on a system always makes speed drop. Size has an impact due to the rank: RAM explained: Why two modules are better than four (MSI)

Hi @TzortzisG
XMP memory modules have different CLs, and data transfer frequencies vary depending on the CL and JEDEC, so how can you say that it does not affect speed when the BIOS does not support it?

The user is using a 32 GB 5600 MT/s module, and does not have the frequency. This is probably because they should be using a 16 GB module in a single slot, which is what I tried to explain earlier.

Unfortunately documentation on these (meaning the previous generations as well -see previous link I posted) systems confirms system maximum RAM frequency to be very very low, even when one module is installed. I think HP and the other laptop manufacturers mean for the client to take advantage of the monstrous memory capacity one can achieve, and disregard completely the "low" speeds of 4000 and 3600. 5600 on this system has the likelihood of happening just as much as on my 3200 DDR4 laptops. This is because both are limited by the BIOS.

Exactly, that greatly influences the memory rank. I have a Zbook Power G7, and if I install an 8 GB (1rx8) DDR4-3200 module, I get a frequency of 2993, but if I install two 16 GB (2rx16) modules, I get a frequency of 2666.
Models with Xeon CPUs all have a maximum frequency of 2666.

Yes.
My previous post https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Business-Notebooks/Ram-Speed-Limit/m-p/9517115#M179888 contained the link to the Quickspecs for your system, and I uploaded it (bottom of the post) so you could access it in any way you wanted. Apparently today HP has uploaded a new version of the Quickspecs, and the RAM settings are much clearer:
RAM modules with 5600 speed, or even modules with 6400 (csodimm) will be forced to operate at 4400 maximum, or even less (4000, 3200, etc) depending on how different RAM chips are mixed.
Anything you buy will downclock to 4400 (or lower). Period. By all means feel free to return this system. These are official specs, and you will find that similar systems with 4 RAM slots by other manufacturers will work the same way. On the bright side, 4x64GB RAM will work perfectly fine giving you 256GBs.
Take care!
