Notebook PCs need SODIMM type of memory.
looking at Crucial report and AMD specs I previously posted, your notebook probably handles 32 GB memory, but I just can't guarantee. If you still want to try 32 GB, just use plain standard 2 x 16 GB DDR4-3200 CL22 SODIMM memory.

Your model comes with a Ryzen 7 7730U processor.
According to this HP document, your 16 GB memory is installed in the slots and removable.
HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-fc0000 series specifications | HP® Support
Crucial indicates your model' can support max 64 GB (2x32 GB) DDR4-3200 memory.

If it reports 32 GB or more, you can most likely install 2 x 16 GB memory.

That doesn't seem to be right.
AMD's specs for your processor indicate that it supports max 64 GB (2x32 GB) DDR4-3200.
If you really want 32 GB, you can try Crucial's 2x16 GB DDR4-3200 memory. They guarantee compatibility. if it doesn't work, perhaps, you'll have an easy return. It's up to you.

Corsair, G.Skill, Kingston Fury or any other performance/gaming memory may cause a compatibility issue with HP notebooks. It's best to avoid those brands.
HP usually uses Micron (Crucial), Samsung and SK Hynix memory.

ok, thanks for the info, and i found this:
Memory Layout (Slots & Size) | 2 x 8 GB |
Memory Module Type | DIMM |
Memory Size | 16 |
Memory Size UOM | GB |
Memory Slots Number | 2 |
Memory Speed | 3200 |
Memory Speed UOM | MT/s |
Memory Standard (facet) (GB) | 16 |
Memory Storage Simplified | 16 GB memory; 256 GB SSD storage |
Memory Type | DDR4 |
does it mean that is a regular dimm slot, or still so-dimm?
