Yes but a total of 16 gb is just too much unless you do intensive gaming so I recomend 8 gb (for smooth daily work) or 12 gb (for basic gaming)

Can you tell me your cpu name (you can use cpu z I u don't know ) and you should not share your product I'd (# one ) but tell your full product number ( the dbo0000 one ) so we can know the exact specifications and it also isn't harmful to share but the product I'd is.

The CPU name is AMD a6 9225 Radeon r4 5 compute cores 2c+3g and it currently has 4gb total memory.

The memory u should use : sodimm 2133mhz ddr4 memory

Add a 4 gb stick if you have another slot or if u have only one slot change it to a 8gb stick

Also make sure u have 64 bit windows installed before doing this if not then install it

Also you should find if your laptop supports more than 8gb of memory on hp site it will be in memory specifications
