Hey guys! I have some issues about my computer( Presario C700 says on the screen but bottom of computer says C799TR) These days the heat of it is getting high so fast. The fans work so loudly. And The system is so slow. I plan to change them. So how can i find the correct CPU for it ? Now i have Intel T5750 2.00 Ghz and 3 gb Ram. What is the Max upgrades for CPU and RAM ? I will change the FAN. But it is easy. I already found it.
Hope someone help me!

Hi:
Below is the link to the service manual for the C700 model series.
The supported processors can be found in chapter 1 on page 1.
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01301275.pdf
The memory upgrade info can be found on page 2.
If you have already installed 3 GB of memory, you can probably install 2 x 2 GB.
This is important regarding the processor upgrade...Your notebook must have the GM 965 chipset, not the GL 960.
I do not believe the GL 960 can run a processor with an 800 MHz FSB.
I have zipped up and attached a free utility below, that will tell you what chipset your notebook has.

Cheers!

You're very welcome.
F.35 was the latest BIOS update for your notebook's model series.
I tend to agree with you that the T9500 might have a good chance of working, even though it is not listed as a supported processor.
https://ark.intel.com/products/33918/Intel-Core-2-Duo-Processor-T9500-6M-Cache-2-60-GHz-800-MHz-FSB-
But of course that is just a guess, because the manual does not list it as a supported processor.
