My notebook shows I have 2 ram slots SODIMM  but when I physically inspect there is only one ram socket and pin available without socket can any service center help me with this ? If not can I add 8 gb ram in one slot as it is maximum ram I can insert.

Hi:

 

Notebooks with the Pentium or Celeron processors only have one memory slot.

 

The max memory the single slot will support is 1 x 8 GB.

 

This information can be found in chapter 1 of the service manual.
