Elitebook 2560p

Hello Everyone

I want to upgrade ram in my elitebook to 16 GB, but I can't find informations about  voltage that I can use in ram modules.
I think about HyperX 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3-12800). But this one operate on 1.35V. Can I use this  modules to my Elitebook 2560p? I buy my laptop with 4GB ram module operating on 1600MHz and 1.5V

Thanks for help 🙂

PS: Mayby someone is using setup with 16gb ram and modules with low CAS latency and can send info witch kind of modues is using.

Here is RAM module witch I want to buy:

The Service Manual:

Manual

specifies DDR3-1333 SO-DIMM so this is the speed at which the memory will run and its 1.5 volt. DDR3L-1600 low voltage memory is also capable of running at 1.5 volts so such memory will "up volt" and "downclock" in most instances and work. Some memory sellers actually offer DDR3L-1600 for these machines. You also cannot change the latency. You can put in "performance" or "gaming" memory but the sytem will run it at the same speeds as the regular OEM stuff.

8 GB 634091-001 4 GB 621569-001

The specified memory is this:

https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-SODIMM-1333MHz-204-pin-M471B5273DH0-CH9/dp/B00EXIX2UU/ref=sr_1_2?ie=U...

That runs at CL=9 and that is the best latency you will get out of any memory you put in the system.

Post back with any further questions and please accept as solution if its the info you needed.

Thanks for help, especialy for info about voltage witch I need. 🙂

I want to buy modules with 1600 frequency, because in the future i want to buy Elitebook 8770w and port this modules to that laptop. 8770w have DDR3 PC3-12800 ports, from here I pick modules with higher ferquency. One more question, every module with 1600MHz can be "downclocked" to lower frequency? There is posibility that the lowest frequency on which module operates will be 1600MHz?

Once again thanks for help 🙂

Usually you can count on the memory being able to downclock one step...so 1600 will run at 1333. Having said that, the best thing to do is run the memory specified. But if Crucial or Kingston is selling 1600 modules for your sytem you can know they tested it and it will work OK.
