Hello,

 

im looking to upgrade my ram from 8gb to 32gb, although i have a 3 year care pack, i was wondering how do i do this and still keep my warrenty in tact?

Hi,

Yes you can upgrade RAM as it is an accepted practice. As @REO51ST states keep any original parts in case you need to send it for repairs.

On page 51 of service manual you can see the steps to upgrade RAM

Welcome to the HP Support Community @Griffskii

 

You can upgrade your Memory, HDD, CPU, Wifi, etc without voiding your Warranty.

 

But if you break anything doing the upgrade you pay for it.

 

If you need to send it in for Warranty Repair at a later date it must have all the original equipment installed.

 

So save any equipment that is replaced until the Warranty has expired.
