I want to upgrade my laptop ram currently it has total 8gb (4gb x 2) it is 3200 Mhz and samsung brand. What is the maximum compatible size can I upgrade it to 32gb (16gb x2) or I should go for 16gb (8gb x 2) ?

We need the model number of the laptop but just about any Intel Core 7th gen or higher or AMD Ryzen based system will accept 32 gigs and some of the newest gen will actually accept 64 gigs. For almost all users 16 gigs of memory is plenty. That is a lot of RAM and unless you are doing video or audio content creation or compiling huge banks of Code or other high end data crunching 16 gigs will serve you as well as 32.
